Character's background (their past and present, including applicable events in other games you may have played them in):
Henry Mills @ OUAT Wiki
Because the divergence for Henry's Alternate Universe comes so late in the canon timeline, 99% of the information on the Wiki is correct. Everything happens as in canon up until Henry's conversation with the Sorcerer's Apprentice regarding his new role as the Author and what to do with the quill. Instead of snapping it, he plans to use it.
Fic in which canon is changed.
Henry will arrive in Ten Forward after disappearing from the shop in the fic.
I hope this makes sense, I can always explain further if necessary.
Character's personality:
As with his history, most of Henry's personality will remain the same. Below is his usual personality with an extra add on for what will be changed/added due to the Darkness within in.
~Henry's Base Personality~
A lot of Henry's main personality traits can be seen in his family as well. Especially those on his mother's side. The courageous, brave hero with the ever wavering line into stupid idiot. The selflessness that will let him risk his life for those he loves. The faith and belief he has in those he loves. The sneaky resourcefulness that never fails in any situation. All of these can be seen in Snow White, Prince Charming and even Emma. But Henry has another side of his family that have given him traits. Manipulation, entitlement and importance all come from his father's side, seen in Baelfire, Rumplestiltskin and Peter Pan. And there's certainly some stupidity here too.

That's not to say Henry isn't just the sum of the previous generations, because he's not. He is his own person and he brings a certain uniqueness to the characteristics already mentioned. Some of the traits are unrivalled and that includes his determination, adventurous spirit and, especially in his younger years, his precociousness.

There are plenty of examples of all these traits through the show, some more than others, as well as cases of how Henry has grown and learnt from those around him and the traits he has, changing them as he changes to suit the circumstances and his surroundings.

One of his more prominent traits is his courage and bravery but this shares a fine line with stupidity and ignorance. Not long after Emma comes to town, Henry goes down into the mines underneath Storybrooke to see if he can find proof of the curse. However, the mines are dangerous and he and Archie almost die as a result of his actions. This shows that fine line - Henry's bravery to do what he feels is necessary to break the curse is also stupidity due to his lack of knowledge of the mines themselves and the danger they pose to his safety and the safety of others.

Henry walks this fine line several times along the course of the show. When he eats the apple turnover and becomes cursed, when he enters Regina's vault and is almost bitten by a snake, and when he gives his heart to Pan and almost dies as a result. Each time, he believes he is doing what is necessary to help others and especially those he loves but each time, he ends up hurt or in danger and those he loves has to save him instead.

This leads onto others traits: recklessness, resourcefulness and selflessness. Using the previous three examples, these three traits can also be seen in each act Henry does. He figures out the turnover is harmful by realising it's apple. He then keeps it away from Emma and sacrifices himself by eating it. Before he sneaks into Regina's vault, he calls her and lies about his whereabouts so as to get the information he needs to get down there. Again, he doesn't worry about his safety because of how much he wants to help get Emma and Mary Margaret back from the Enchanted Forest. And finally, when he gives Pan his heart, he again sacrifices himself to save magic. It may have been the wrong thing to do at the time, but he had good intentions and still displayed all those traits throughout his time in Neverland.

These three examples show a lot about Henry's character beyond those main traits. But they are not the only things that have happened in his life. And these traits are also, mostly, positive. But Henry does not just have positive personality traits. Nobody is perfect and that can certainly be said for Henry Mills.

During the struggles faced in Storybrooke, he is a child and everyone else fighting are adults. His family. And due to his age, he is often placed in the care of others while his family fights the good fight. Certain traits that can be seen in the paternal side of his family come to the foreground in these moments where he feels he shouldn't be pushed aside. He feels entitled to be part of the fight even if he reluctantly agrees to stay away from it. An example of this is shown after he gets back from New York with his mother, father and grandfather. He is sent off with Ruby and is not happy about it. This also happens even when Henry doesn't have his real memories. He knows something is up but Emma won't explain it and he spends a lot of time with Hook to keep him out of Zelena's way. Especially after the death of his father.

Another trait from that side of his family is manipulation. He is not above lying, as seen earlier with Regina, and even in the latest season, he minces his words to get what he wants from Gold; i.e. working at the shop. As he is still a child and obviously learning this ability, there are not many different examples but it is clear that the trait exists and can be trained and used effectively if one knows their victim.

But by far, Henry's most important trait is his belief. With the heart of the truest believer, he has the strongest belief of everyone in the show. And with his belief, Henry believed in the stories he was given by his teacher, Ms Blanchard, in order to start the events that lead to the curse being broken. Believing the good in everyone, especially Regina even after everything she had done, is no mean feat and Henry is still able to hold his head high after the events he has been through. He trusts those he loves and will always believe the best in them even when they don't believe it in themselves.

Finally, the last thing to note about Henry is how his attitude towards magic has changed over the course of his life. It is very plain to see in the beginning how much Henry hates magic. He only sees the dark magic like how the curse was created or the deals Rumplestiltskin has done and even goes so far as to try and destroy it after Cora's death, seeing what it had done to Mary Margaret. But as time goes on, his attitude changes and he currently wonders more about magic and what it can do. He has learnt that magic can be used for good, namely through Emma, and wants to learn it himself. But this leads back to the ignorance of not having all the facts. He may have the heart of the truest believer, but it seems as though he has other magical ability.

~Changes due to the Darkness~
Character's skills/abilities/powers: Originally, Henry has no evident powers etc apart from his heart, though we do not know exactly what the Heart of the Truest Believer does. I have made a post here with what I believe to be the important point but I can explain further if need be.

One aspect not mentioned in that post however, is Henry's written ability. He is now the current Author of the book and if given the correct quill and ink, he can write anything into existence. Or out. He's the OUAT version of Q as long as he has equipment.
Any special equipment your character is bringing along? This includes weaponry, magic items, etc.: Nope. He left the dagger and the quill in Storybrooke.
Why do you want to play this character in Ten Forward, and what do you plan to do with them? This AU incarnation of Henry is much more independent. He can survive on his own, with or without cast mates, and can more easily make friends with other characters in the game. My previous Henry needed his father around and found it hard to integrate himself. As much as I enjoyed playing Henry Gold, he simply didn't work for such an environment without another played character. Since I love playing in Ten Forward so much, I'm hoping this new Henry can be my way to continue being part of this community.

Also, this new Henry will have a much more canon background with the AU component being much larger but almost nearer to the end of aired canon. So he will be able to integrate himself into the current cast more easily as all cast members will have the same memories rather than the more evident difference between Henry Mills and Henry Gold.

All in all, while this Henry is the Dark One, he should be able to work better on the ship and after some calming down, be able to use his abilities for good. Fingers crossed.
What is your character's greatest flaw? This has evolved over the series. Initially it was his drive to be a hero and his stubbornness to want to help, which was why he almost died at the hands of Pan. While his stubbornness still lives, he's learnt to pick his battles for the most part. Unless it includes his family.
Trying to save his family is why he's stuck in this position (as the Dark One) as it is. So I'd call that his greatest flaw.
Describe your character's family (whether family by blood or by choice). How does your character feel about them? What did your character learn from them? Leading off from his greatest flaw, Henry's family mean everything to him. It's grown so much over such a short space of time. Initially, it was just him and Regina. But now he was a rather large family tree including people he'd rather not be related too. But in his mind, everyone in Storybrooke is his family. He cares about them all and wants to use the quill as the author to bring his father back but can't. Even back at the beginning, he almost gives up on breaking the curse because Graham died. And he was the closest thing he'd ever gotten to a father figure up to that point in his life.
Family to Henry is quite fluid and he can take his friends and call them his family. Once you're his family, you are for life and he will love and protect you to the best of his ability. Even if it's not exactly the best idea in the world.
What hobbies does your character have? Henry enjoys reading comic books, listening to vinyl records and even going to school, when he has the time. Due to the fast pace of his life, there's not much time for hobbies.
Your character wakes up in the middle of the night in panic from a nightmare. What was the nightmare? His magic got out of control, or the darkness left him in some manner, and his family was hurt was a result. Maybe they're all dead, or maybe they're just hurt and they blame him. Either way, he'd be alone.
